Touch"; Alamance, Allegheny, Ashe, Caswell, Davidson, Davie,
Forsyth, Gaston, Guilford, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Orange,

Who can benefit from Home Healthcare?
Those persons with an illness or disability that prohibits or limits their ability to
perform daily tasks. Caregivers exhausted from the stress and time consumed
in caring for a loved one suffering from conditions such as:

Types of Services available from Touched by Angels:
PCS - Personal Care Services - This service is available to Medicaid "Blue Card"
recipients. Services are limited to 60 hours per month, which in a 5 day week is
3 hours per day. A Patient's doctor must order the specific services needed.
Touched by Angels will contact the doctor for you and get approval for service.
PCS+ - Personal Care Services Plus - This service is available to Medicaid "Blue
Card" recipients.
CAP - Community Alternatives Program - The Department of Social Services in
your county determines your eligibility and amount of care under this program.

Private Pay - This service is offered to anyone. If your care is covered by
insurance, we will file claims directly with your insurance company.
Companions - If you only need someone to provide transportation to doctor's
appointments, shopping, errands, dining out, theatre, hair appointments or
other similar activities, this service is offered to suit your schedule.
Caregiver - This service is available to anyone where the family provides most
of the care, but just needs and occasional break to take care of his or her
personal needs. Vouchers for this program may be obtained from the agency in
your county, who oversees this program, and Touched by Angels can provide the
care.
CAP-MR/DD - Community Alternative Program for persons with mental
retardation and/or Developmental Disabilities is a source of funding for
children and adults who are mentally and/or physically challenged and who are
approved through the local mental health center to receive services.
Touched by Angels provides Day Habilitation, Supported Employment, Supported
Living, Respite and/or Personal Care services through this program.
CBS - Community Based Services are offered to children and adults with mental
health, developmental disability and/or substance abuse issues to increase
their independence in many areas including daily living, educational, residential,
and/or vocational skills.
Respite - This service provides relief to caregivers of persons with mental
health and/or physical disabilities. It is a temporary service which allows
caregivers a "break" to engage in other activities while knowing that their
loved one is being provided the best of care.
